Face To Face

I love technology! I live far from my family. We are very close and miss each other terribly. Thank God for FaceTime. My kids can talk and see Grandma and PaPa everyday if they want and most days we do! As a result, their heart connection is so strong. My parents are very involved and up to date with everything going on in our lives. Being able to see and talk to each other face to face allows this to happen.

This season with the Lord, more than ever, I feel the urgency and invitation to come closer into the Heart of God. It’s His goodness and kindness that leads us to more. He has a desire and plan to bring hearts to Himself.

We live in a society and culture of total distraction and confusion. This generation that is coming up now was raised in a “Jerry Springer” society. 2 Corinthians 3:18 reminds us that you become what you behold (And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit). We made normal and entertainment every kind of argument, personal conflict, false identity, hurt and violence (just to name a few). Slowly it began to seep into our ideals, morals and stance as a society. Think about it. It’s very easy to see what used to be entertainment has now become culture.

It is the church's opportunity to begin to turn the tide. Because of Jesus, we have been made able to see God in His glory and to come close by the blood of the Lamb. Moses was able to experience the Glory of God, but with limits and then Jesus came and removed the veil. How much more can we see and behold of our good, loving God and allow it to transform us?

God’s presence changes everything and provides every breakthrough. It will take a Bride who has not just had an encounter, but a Bride who beholds her God and is being changed into His likeness to attract and draw the hearts of men to the Father.

In my thoughts lately I feel like the Lord has revealed keys to stepping into more.

1. Know your identity and who you are before Him. You are the Bride of Christ, pure spotless sons and daughters, who were designed for unhindered relationship with God.

2. Take the time and be “saturated” in His presence.“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.” Psalms 27:4

3. Fall in Love with Jesus all over. I encourage you to take the time and seek the face of Jesus. He is truth. Every need and desire in our heart is found there. Allow yourself to come to your First Love and be renewed.

Release what you have. You are an Encounter with Jesus to the world around you.
