OUR CORE VALUES

Be Family  Build  Kingdom

01

Everything starts with this. We receive His goodness through salvation and reveal it to the world by loving others.

God's Goodness

02

Our greatest privilege and identity in life is sonship. There is no position that exceeds being a son or daughter of God.

Sonship

03

Our growing relationship with God is dependent on prayer. We have a key role to play. Our prayers are powerful to release His kingdom on earth.

Prayer

04

Worship is our essential connection to His Presence. We respond to and engage with His Presence through worship, both as a lifestyle and our corporate expression.

Worship

05

We are created to recognize and respond to the voice of the Lord. Through
prophecy, our responsibility is to encourage, strengthen and comfort.

Prophecy

06

Jesus paid for our healing; body, soul and spirit. Healing is for everyone.

Healing

07

Each person is created in God's image, therefore we honor all people. We extend honor to others by calling them to God's standard with truth and love.

Honor

08

From salvation to reformation, His Presence in us carries transforming power to see all areas of lives, cities, and nations transformed.

Transformation

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to raise up and equip passionate believers who impact their sphere of influence with the Kingdom of God.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

At True Life, we are a group of believers that are passionate about community and impacting our city with the kingdom of God. We carry a heart of abundant worship that is focused on one thing, His presence. We are dedicated to knowing God and making Him famous in the earth. As a community we believe that God is a good Father and loves to be with His children. We believe that every single person has a unique calling and destiny, and our goal as a community is to see your God given purpose fulfilled.

Beliefs

God

We believe that God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.

  • Genesis 1:1, 26-27

  • Matthew 28:19

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts and empowers them to do the work of the ministry. As Christians, we seek to live under His authority and control daily.

  • Ephesians 1:13

  • Acts 1:8

The Bible

This is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

  • 2 Timothy 1:13

  • 2 Peter 1:20-21

Eternity

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God in Hell, or eternally with God in Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

  • John 3:16

  • Romans 6:23

Water Baptism

We are baptized in water to follow the example set by Jesus and because Christ instructs us to do so. It demonstrates that we are believers and illustrates our new life in Christ. Water baptism is like a wedding ring; it's the outward symbol of the commitment we made in our heart.

  • Matthew 28:19-20

The Church

We believe the Church is made up of those who have given their heart and life to Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. These believers in Jesus Christ make up the Body of Christ of which He is the head. The purpose of the Church is to glorify God and make Him known to the lost world.

  • Matthew 16:18

  • Ephesians 5:23

  • Colossians 1:24

Jesus Christ

He is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. On earth, Jesus was 100 percent God and 100 percent man. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for humankind and, thus, atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory.

  • Isaiah 9:6

  • John 1:1,14, 20:28

  • Philippians 2:5-6

  • 1 Timothy 2:5; 3:16

Humanity

People are made in the image and likeness of God, and are the highest objects of His love and creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good through salvation in Jesus Christ, all humans are born with a sin nature as a result of the fall of man. This sin nature separates us from God.

  • Genesis 1:26-27

  • Psalm 8:3-6

  • Isaiah 53:6a, 59:1-2

  • Romans 3:23

Salvation

This is God's free gift to us. We must respond to this great love that God has lavished on mankind by repenting of our sins, placing our faith fully in Jesus Christ, and submitting to His authority in our lives thereby allowing Him to change us more and more into the image of Christ. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

  • Romans 6:23

  • Ephesians 2:8-9

The Lord's Supper

This is a unique time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and grape juice (the body and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross.

  • Matthew 26:26-29

  • Mark 16:16

  • Acts 8:12, 36-38, 10:47-48

  • 1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:23-26

Holy Spirit Baptism

Baptism in the Holy Spirit is an experience which initiates a decisively new awareness of the all powerful presence of God working in one's life, and usually involves one or more spiritual gifts. This is a different experience from water Baptism and is normal and expected of a Christian since God promised it to us.

  • Acts 8:15-16, 19:1-2
